Julie was one of Mom's very first friends after the Dreadful Move from Tulsa to Houston in 1965. They spent time at the beach and trying on makeup...and then lost track of each other. After a much too long time, they finally found each other again, and has Julie ever been busy in the past forty years! Who would have known that that pretty pre-teen would grow up to be the accomplished artist exhibited here? What a delightful discovery, to find that your friend has developed such a wonderful body of art! |

Re: The Pears… lol… This still life oil painting of Gourds and Corn was a lesson taught by Cindy Forsythe in her art class.
The Set of 6 Rooster Placemats was a "What was I thinking?" project. I bought the blank canvas mats off the "Clearance" rack...Oh My! No one is allowed to eat on them and worth a fortune for the amount of time invested ... Tee-hee!

The Wreath is a pattern by Rosemary West; the wood is cut by the man across the street. All my colors are custom mixed in oils and accented in gold leafing. |
