Aliene and Mom got together before the Huckleberry Festival

and had a lot of fun making soap.

Here is the artist, proudly displaying some of her work at the HOOK 'N COOK-OFF last summer, 2007. One of her gifts is her way with beading. Jewelry from her talented hand is shown below.

Electronic Parts Jewelry

Mom inherited thousands of electronic parts from grandpa Haines, so Mom and Aliene have put their heads together and Aliene is busy creating pieces from the electronics. Here is a simple pair of earrings as an example of what can be done with the unused transistors now that we are in nanocircuits...

The transistors in this photo are about one-quarter of an inch long,

making for very delicate and elegant earrings. Those are gold leads below the transistors.

Aliene also works old beads into new necklaces.
